It’s advisable to book well in advance, ideally more than 10 days ahead of departure, to ensure a wide selection of aircraft availability. Additionally, for major events like the Super Bowl or Daytona 500, landing permits and parking for aircraft become increasingly scarce closer to the event date.For international flights, certain locations may require visas and landing permits. Landing permits can take anywhere from 1 hour to 4 weeks to obtain, depending on the location. Typically, we can secure a landing permit in less than 24 hours for most international flights.Upon confirmation of your trip, we will provide you with a detailed itinerary and the location of the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) to meet your jet. If you are traveling with pets, small children, or internationally, we will furnish you with specific instructions to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Special instructions are required if a child is flying internationally with only one parent. How does the cancellation policy for a charter flight work?
The cancellation policy, terms, and associated penalties differ among aircraft operators. Typically, one-way flights, empty legs, and flights booked during peak periods incur a 100% cancellation fee. For round trips, cancellation penalties usually start at 1 to 2 weeks before departure, amounting to 50% of the flight cost. Within 48 hours of departure, the cancellation fee rises to 80% of the flight cost, and within 24 hours, it reaches 100%. Some VIP airliner operators may also require a non-refundable deposit of 25 to 50% upon booking.At World Air Support, cancellation fees are determined by the operator’s policies. In cases where clients must cancel last-minute, we strive to negotiate refunds with the operators. While success is not guaranteed, we have previously secured refunds exceeding $180,000. However, it’s important to note that operators may not always comply with our requests. World Air Support will only charge cancellation fees if imposed by the operator.
Are there any extra charges apart from the initial charter fee?
Additional fees beyond the initial charter cost may occur, but they are rare in most cases. Our private jet charter agreements cover all expenses except for incidental items, such as pet accident cleaning fees, de-icing fees, and Wi-Fi fees where applicable. Operators typically enforce strict policies regarding damage to the aircraft interior, which could result in significant additional charges. If everything proceeds smoothly, there should be no additional fees associated with the charter. Less than 1% of our charter flights result in additional fees beyond the initial charter costs.
